Hi I’m Kristian.

I live in Ashbourne with my wife Grace and two daughters Bella and Mia. Out of work I enjoy spending time with Friends and family, going for nice walks and eating out at local restaurants.

I started working in a Uttoxeter salon at the age of 15. I worked there whilst completing my NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 at Stoke College. As a child I never knew what I wanted to do, so my mother who was also a hairdresser suggested hairdressing, so I thought I would give it go. I then realised that I actually quite liked it and was also good at it, so continued with the career and have never looked back. I worked in the Uttoxeter salon until I was 26. It was then I felt I needed to open my own and looked in various towns until I decided that Ashbourne was the best place. In my hairdressing career I have won many national awards and have been in the England hairdressing team!

I opened Hair by Kristian Wood in May 2010, it has always been my aspiration to have my own salon. I enjoy meeting everyone who comes into the salon and I have built some great friendships. I can’t thank my clients enough for all the support they have shown me throughout the years, some of whom I have known since I started with at 15. I have a great team behind me and we all work well together.

Hi I’m Siobhan.

I have been working with Kristian Since 2017!

I live in Alton with my two daughters Elle and Faye. We love going for walks, bike rides, and going on holidays. Some of my other hobbies include music, going to festivals, yoga and baking cakes with my girls.

I am quite an artistic and creative person and after many years of saying I would love to be a hairdresser, I decided that now felt like the right time to peruse this career.

Having known Kristian and Grace as friends for a number of years, I feel really lucky that Kristian gave me the opportunity to do an apprenticeship at Hair by Kristian Wood. I can honestly say that with all the staff being so passionate, friendly and supportive, it has been the best decision I have ever made, and I couldn’t wish for a better salon to work at.

I am really loving hairdressing and I can’t wait to keep learning and growing in order to be the best hairdresser that I can be.

Hi I’m Alexus.

I have a big interest in hairdressing and fashion and love doing peoples hair how they like, to make them feel good about themselves. I enjoy the socialising of meeting new and old customers from different backgrounds. In the salon I like to experiment different ways to learn new skills.

In my spare time I like to train and watch football. I have a wide variety of animals which I enjoy looking after. I also love shopping and I am always looking for new styles.
